How the Israel Lobby Works
Pressuring Candidates Even Before They Are Nominated

The major organizations that comprise the Israel Lobby are well known: the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the American Jewish Committee (AJC), the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations and Christians United For Israel (CUFI). All are well known, benefiting from large budgets and staffs. They are extremely effective, having excellent access to politicians and the media to promote their points of view, and are, as a group, regular visitors to the White House. AIPAC is without doubt the most powerful lobby in the United States that is focused on a foreign policy issue.

The institutional Israel boosters are in turn backed by a cluster of think tanks and institutes that spout a relentlessly pro-Likud line. They include Foundation for Defense of Democracies, The Emergency Committee for Israel, The American Enterprise Institute, The Hudson Institute, Brookings and The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. A recent op-ed at The National Interest (formerly the Nixon Center) “Why Israel Fears Containment of a Nuclear Iran,” written by two Israelis with government ties, illustrates to what extent spokesmen for Tel Aviv have access to the media across the political spectrum to make their points while contrary views rarely surface. It would be difficult to imagine a similar piece appearing advancing Iranian views on Israel, for example, and one might well question whose “National Interest” is being promoted by providing a platform to current or former foreign government officials.

And backing the think tanks up are the enablers in the media who suppress stories critical of Israel and consistently editorialize supporting policies favored by Tel Aviv. Israeli Ambassadors, uniquely, regularly write op-eds for publications like the Washington Post and The New York Times. Prominent among the consistently pro-Israel media are the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch publications in general and magazines like Mortimer Zuckerman owned US News and World Report, but it would be fair to say that nearly all mainstream media outlets are to some extent wary of offending Israel and its backers.

But as Professors John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt noted in their groundbreaking expose of the Israel Lobby, the lobbying effort extends well beyond the organizational level to include friends of Israel who labor assiduously and voluntarily at state and local levels as well as at universities and from within professional organizations to maintain a positive viewpoint on Israel while promoting a negative narrative regarding its increasing number of critics. Most recently they have been focused on halting the growth of BDS, “boycott, divestment, and sanctions,” particularly in attempts to use “Lawfare” to make such activity illegal when it singles out Israel.

Israel’s friends quite rightly see Congress as their major ally in keeping the United States Israel-friendly, so much so that Pat Buchanan once dubbed America’s legislative body as “Israeli occupied territory.” And so it remains with legislation favorable to Israel passing by unanimous consent voice votes or grossly lopsided margins when a tally actually takes place. The White House too is into the charade that Israel is a major US ally and friend, in spite of mounting evidence that Tel Aviv consistently spies on Washington, is not interested in any peace process with the Palestinians and works against genuine American interests.

I have recently obtained a handout memo relating to a congressional race in Virginia that illustrates how the process works at the political entry level. Congressman Jim Moran has announced that he will not seek reelection in the heavily Democratic district that encompasses Alexandria Virginia. Moran has fallen afoul of the pro-Israel establishment by telling attendees at a 2003 antiwar forum, “If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this.” He added that Jewish leaders were “influential enough” to change the course of US policy. Moran inevitably apologized for those remarks, but the damage was done and he was considered to be unreliable on the issue of Israel, a view reflected in the handout which quotes Debbie Linick, Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, asserting that Moran had been “lacking the nuances of understanding the peace process. It is crucial that the next representative from the 8th District be a strong supporter of Israel.”

The handout described a Jewish Community Relations Council Political Forum for the 8th District that was to be held on May 18th in Alexandria at the Council’s Early Childhood Learning Center. All prospective candidates for the 8th District were invited to participate to present their positions on various issues of interest to those attending. The access to the event was by paid tickets only, presumably to permit screening to control the make-up of the audience. The handout again quotes Linick as stating that “all area synagogues will be asked to participate” even if they were not in the voting district.

The memo suggests that someone at the forum might ask every candidate to publish his or her signed Israel Position paper, which AIPAC “requires” all candidates for office to personally sign. It also recommends that signs be placed on the street outside demanding release of the paper and notes that if there should happen to be demonstrators present they will not be allowed to block the entrance, which is behind the building on private property.

The Northern Virginia Council might well be more than usually politically active and is unlikely to have a counterpart in most congressional districts, but the handout reveals how AIPAC has an impact on all viable congressional candidates, often before they are even nominated. Once nominated, candidates go through a vetting process in which they meet with an AIPAC official and are asked to write and sign a position paper on Israel, if they have not already done so. Many of the papers are subsequently highlighted on the AIPAC website.

Few if any candidates refuse to cooperate because to do so would mean that AIPAC and its friends would find and fund an opponent and use their media access to distort the politician’s record. This type of blackballing most recently occurred in the case of Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina, who was on the receiving end of a vicious and well-funded campaign because he is an anti-war candidate strongly opposed by the pro-Israel establishment.

To be sure Americans have a constitutional right to both demand to know and challenge the views of those running for office but the important thing to note here is that the discussion is not about healthcare, immigration or government programs – it is rather about unconditional support for the policies of a foreign country. I can think of no other advocacy group in the United States that is comparable to the Israel Lobby in terms of its promotion of positions that are demonstrably not beneficial to the United States with the only possible exception being the prominent Cubans in Congress who vet candidates based on their willingness to continue to punish the regime in Havana. The Cubans, unlike the Israel Firsters, have, however, only regional impact, mostly concentrated in Florida, though it is interesting note that they – Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Mario Diaz-Balart, Joe Garcia and Robert Menendez – are also all passionate supporters of Israel.

Americans really have little choice when it comes to Congress and Israel as anyone who refuses to cooperate with AIPAC is unlikely to find himself in the running, but there should at least be some awareness of what happens routinely to prospective candidates to insure conformity with the Lobby’s viewpoint. If unconditional loyalty to a foreign country is a sine qua non for election to congress perhaps there should be some discussion of what that is likely to mean and the promoters of such policies should be held accountable when they produce a bad result, as they did in Iraq and are promising to do vis-a-vis Iran. It is one thing to be all for Israel due to cultural or familial affinity or even as an abstraction but it is quite another to persist in that view when it does genuine harm to the United States, regarding which a case certainly can and has already been made.

  1. The unholy alliance of Evangelicals and Zionists dominates our foreign policy in the Middle East. The first group has fantastic notions from the Books of Revelations and Daniel about the coming war between good and evil. The second group, whose ideology is based on integral nationalism which easily metasthesizes into Fascism, cares nothing about US interests. It is not the first time that groups in American favor anti-American policies in favor of another country; think only of pro-IRA politicians in the Northeast, beginning with Congressman Peter King. But it is time to reject the irrationality of Evangelicals and Zionists and strive for an American foreign policy. Israel should be no more no less important to us than, say, Finland.

  2. We hear constantly of the power of the so-called Jewish Lobby, but no one ever explains how and why the Lobby hac dome to have such power.

If this Lobby weren’t useful to interests that transcend and ultimately have little to do with Jewish/Israeli interests, few politicians would pay the Lobby any mind. Geopolitically, Israel is a useful tool of global elites. If the Israeli government were to make serious peace overtures to the Palestinian factions and if these factions were to respond favorably, any peace effort would be nipped in the bud by those who have a strong interest in keeping these entities from cooperating with one another. Many Israelis know this. In fact, their alternative media shout it from the rooftops.

  3. This article does an excellent job of showing why there is unlikely to be any change in USG policy toward Israel. But when government ignores the best interests of its citizens other steps can be taken. The Lobby can continue to buy our government but I doubt it can stop BDS. Time to shift efforts from the political arena to the market place.

  4. The Israeli dog barks, and the US wags it tail. There has got to be a stronger word than pathetic for that.

  6. The leading candidate to replace Rep. Henry Waxman in Democratic Los Angeles is a Republican. His claim to fame is his very strong ties to Israel, according to new reports. Since when do ties to Israel mean more than American patriotism?

  7. @laurias. What utter rubbish you write! Who are these global elites you speak of? Can you provide names, please? And secondly, how would an Israeli/Palestinian peace deal affect them?

Please recognize my sardonic humor when I write: poor, weak, beleaguered Israel, buffeted about by powers greater than itself, a country whose politicians care so little about the welfare of its citizens, that it would accede to the demands of the global elites (are these elites, gentiles, by any chance?), and despite knowing this, as you claim the Israeli alternative media do, Jewish citizens of Israel are stupid enough to vote for politicians who work against the best interests of Jews? In fact, admitting, that they are as stupid as their gentile counterparts in the United States?

It is time to purge the Jews from the United States Government. Just like Pres Putin did I Russia. Jews in America is described as the Host and the parasite eating the fabric to the bone. The cancer that is destroying our country from within. Cut them off completely and let them fight their own battles. 80% of the Jews out there have no bloodlines from the land called Israel. Including many of their Prime Ministers including the current cockroach.

  9. One alternative, within the political arena, is to vote for the Green Party candidate. For example, I — Michael Meo — am the Green Party nominee for the Third District U.S. Congress seat in Oregon. I refused the draft during the Vietnam War and served two years in federal penitentiary. Mt stance on Israel is simply that the interests of the United States demand that there be no more aid extended to the State of Israel until and unless it signs a peace treaty with the Palestinians: the .S. has no business taking sides between the two.

  10. Yeah, there can be no doubt that the Parliament of Whores–er, Congress–is “Israeli-occupied territory”–and it’s a Goddamn disgrace.

  11. This article is a joke. Even assuming AIPAC and other pro-Israel groups are as powerful as Giraldi claims they are (believe me they’re not) there is nothing illegal about their actions.

As a democracy American citizens have a right to support and rally behind any issue they regard as important. If the pro-Israel crowd is strong and organized and passionate about Israel more power to them.

Instead of whining about this perhaps Giraldi should get his Saudi backers and Arab and Holocaust revisionist buddies to emulate the Zionist Lobby and create a lobby to counter them.

  12. Another interesting factor is the sheer number of “our” representatives in Congress who hold dual Israeli-U.S. citizenship. They number in the hundreds and hold some of the most important positions in our government, from ambassadors to White House presidential advisers. Each one has sworn allegiance to Israel and their voting records reflect that allegiance. Besides the corrupting influence of AIPAC and other Israel-first groups, Israel virtually controls our banking, news media and entertainment industries. Combined with the single goal of promoting and enabling Israel, is it any wonder why America continues to shower an estimated 3.5 billion each year on Israel, which is nothing more or less than an apartheid state busy committing war crimes and crimes against humanity on the Palestinian people. It is completely shameful and treasonous for our government to lavish such huge sums of money on Israel while American soldiers go without medical care, while America is rushing toward financial bankruptcy, Americans starve and remain homeless and while American infrastructure crumbles before our eyes. All foreign aid to Israel should be stopped immediately and America should join the international community of nations and condemn and isolate the nuclear armed warmongering state of Israel from the world body.

Hard as it is for us anti-zionists to face, the basic reason for the success of the Israel lobby is the popularity of Israel among Americans. Brave little David beset by enemies who want to kill Jews for no reason. It’s still the movie “Exodus.”

When I was a kid (early ’50s), and the topic of Israel came up in family conversations, my father’s line, variants of which one still hears, was that “israel made the desert bloom.” Did they take land that didn’t belong to them. “Israel made the desert bloom.” Did Rabbis run things? “Israel made the desert bloom.” Until this image of Israel can be dislodged from the American psyche, we’ll attack without a second thought anyone Israel wants us to.

    • Replies:
  14. And let’s not forget that in addition to deciding local elections, every four years both presidential candidate are chosen by the Israeli lobby via a weeding out process that begins at the primary level, where all potential “enemies” of Israel are removed from the process. None of which would be possible without assistance from of the Zionist owned MSM which serves as the most effective 5th column force in existence.

  15. “This article is a joke. Even assuming AIPAC and other pro-Israel groups are as powerful as Giraldi claims they are (believe me they’re not) there is nothing illegal about their actions”

I didn’t see anything in Giraldi’s article claiming that lobbying is illegal. Rather than the article being a joke, you are the joke for suggesting the Lobby isn’t very powerful. See Mearsheimer and Walt’s The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy. These are two distinguished professors from two prestigious academic institutions who have demonstrated the power of the lobby, not members of the KKK.

“As a democracy American citizens have a right to support and rally behind any issue they regard as important.”

Yes and as a democracy American citizens have a right to shine a light on how the Lobby is skewing US foreign policy away from US national interests in favour of those of a foreign country. Americans have a right to understand how a Lobby for a foreign country (that should be registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act) works to undermine US national interests. The latest example being the efforts of the Emergency Committee for Israel spending millions to unseat Walter Jones of NC because of his anti-interventionist and anti-foreign aid positions. Fortunately, most constituents from his district were able to see past the hasbara campaign and re-elect him.

Finally, Americans also have a right to know which Americans are putting Israel’s interests ahead of America’s. They need to know who the Israel Firsters are and fight vigorously against them.

So Mr. Sherman, do you put Israel’s interests ahead of Amerca’s… or are you a patriotic American?

: “As a democracy American citizens have a right to support and rally behind any issue they regard as important. If the pro-Israel crowd is strong and organized and passionate about Israel more power to them.” Except they coersed and demanded total obedience to their cause from congress. Where else can a lobby such as AIPAC book US president, senators, etc to speak on their convention year after year after year? Not even the powerful AARP can do that.

  17. The sooner Israel, this “deformed limb of the west”, as the late Joe Sobran called it, is eliminated from the face of the earth, the better the world will be.

  18. @ Terry

You’re saying there are “hundreds” of members of the US Congress with dual Israeli-American citizenship.

Can you provide the readers here with the name of just one elected American official with Israeli citizenship? I’m asking for only one.

Do you actually know what you’re talking about or are you just showing off how stupid you are?

  19. Am I powerful? I have money to give to the preacher to preach on the stret corners . I cn fire him ,rehire him,and he depends on me to get to that corner. The street corner has been won by me for transmission of ideas and staging of events. I know people in the city council. One of them did not support my bid. I got him transferred as part of reorganization by the council. I have donated a lot for the elections of those councilmen. I also sit and dine and pray together with a few other who support my effort and share my political views and share some genes with me .They offer similar services in other parts of the cities . They also keep an eye on the voting patterns and the speeches of these councilmen. They receive donations from all of us. I have influenced the decision of allowing and disallowing certain offices and factories in the cities. The owners of those offices have hired my people in important regulatory positions. Some of the owners happen to dine, pray, and share gene with me and my distant relatives in other cities and actually countries. The French city of Lyon took action against one of their own who wanted to establish business with one of the councilmen in my city who I did not like. I knew a few of those who paid for the election and the salaries of those elected leaders of Lyon.

I asked one of the local TV not to be given the permission to air . We managed by not renewing the license over some rules that were found and interpreted by my folks who fine, pray, and share gene with that of mine. My councilman had an arrangement to get free TV show broadcast to the lounge and one weekly magazine delivered free . People liked it. They got free TV viewing and free magazine. I make sure that behind all the stupidities and irrelevances that are shoved down as news , I get my thoughts, ideas, plans, and suggestions delivered to the people without any oppositite views or scrutiny and be delivered by experts who I declared them to be expert for working at some stage of life in the related fields . Sometime I call them expert in the field of physiology though they work in the field of psychology .I have a person expert in the field of mine accidents for he comes from the villages from where some went to work in the mines.
I have not been challenged. One time a caller called contradicting me and offered the information on his sources. I told him if he knew Arabic though it was in English version that he was quoting and I cut him off. Another time, one challenger across the TV debate was saying that French businessmen should not influence the views of our councilmen . I told the moderator that the Frech helped us in the war against British and French have a long history of challenging authorities. I suggested that we can always count on French. The public roared ( some of them peed in the pants in excitement) . In the last events, that we organized, we showered the kids and the housewives with books, toys, recipes, and entertained them with songs and plays. Some people complained of too much exposure to my ethnic history, sufferings, and achievement and none to the local culture pre dating our arrivals to the cities. Some saw incongruent and inconsistent information. They had no chance to air any of their views . Kids, women and police all were with me without knowing that they were with me. They decided that they would not allow any other shows without me participating or endorsing . One actually tried and was told that he ” would be run out of the city” . He folded and won as mayor.
I sent some guys to see what kind of books the library have and got some removed . They agreed otherwise they would have lost funding and knew would be given poor performance assessment. I also kept an eye on the local student body for debating the role of the preacher in the street corner and the presence of one TV show in the city hall lounge and the threat to career safety of those questioning me and my friends who dine, pray, and share some genes with me. We successfully brought the charges of indoctrination, incitement, disturbance of peace, and threatening the business of the city.
I tell my next generations how one of my ancestors used the judicial position to make the phone calls to different mayors and get redistrcting and rezoning approved for the exclusive use by me and my friends who dine, pray, and share gene with me .
We have been buying a lot of companies and getting rid of anyone with different ideas . We have send to the exclusive council we have for ourselves.
the laws for better tax breaks and tax exempt donations . The money that we plough back into the elections process are much less than the amount we get back from the council and much less than what why make available for the district that we use exclusively for ourselves. We let the district know what is happening in the business, trade, pharmaceutical ,military, science so that our exclusive district can bargain better. We help the councilmen and women to pen the bill and turn it to laws . We insert a few things here and there in the 10000 pages documents and 3 pages speeches and 100 pages regulations through the aides to the councilmen . I suggested that they be hired when I was donating money to them for the election.
I also invited my French distant relative but with same passion and zeal as that of me to moderate the debate on the TV and at the shows at the street corners . Other guests are the picks of the councilmen who dine, pray, and share gene with me. Public were impressed to see that I have no power and they were better informed . They confuse the rush of the adrenaline, the feeling of joy, the vive of ownership ,the freedom to say stupid things against the parents, teachers, clergy, and the scientist and against the celebrities as liberation, knowledge, empowerment, and progress.

  20. Sherman- Tom Lantos, Frank Lautenberg (admittedly both deceased) and Rahm Emanuel would be a good place to start. One suspects that there are many more who have taken Israeli citizenship but have not done so publicly for obvious reasons.

  21. @ Philip Giraldi

Rahm Emanuel surrendered his Israeli citizenship (which he received through his father) when he was eighteen.

Lantos and Lautenberg never held Israeli citizenship.

As far as all the other elected officials you are alleging secretly hold Israeli citizenship….I find it impossible that this would go undetected.

  22. […] and here’s why too.  Oh, and here’s why as well. And here and here and here and here and […]

  23. Dutch documentary (almost all in English) on power of Israel lobby in the US:

Lautenberg invented his own ideas about who should be called a refugee fleeing from persecution. No need to personal threat, no need to to have suffered in the past no threat in the future – all he or she had to prove is a history of religious persecution of the said re
Idiots groups in the past -(remote will count) . UN Refugges did not agree with the definition. Immigration and Naturalization did not agree.
Latunberg made it look like covering every religion from USSR but no Muslim entered, a few Christians and Baha’is entered from Iran . Overwhelmingly the people who came were Jewish – 400,000. They received cash, housing,Medicaid,Medicare, job training.

  25. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s maternal grandparents were Sephardic Jews who emigrated to Cuba in the early 20th century. Her mother converted to Catholicism to marry her father. Whether this has anything to do with her shrill support for Israel, regardless of what the consequences for the US, is unknown.

  26. To remain the tent of the Zionism or be eligible for being considered as a Jewish, faith is not the criterion that will have the final say . Is the behavior or behaviors of the person ” good for the diaspora or for Israel or both ? This determines .the answers.
Dual citizenship also does not matter. One can show up in Israel and provide the documents . He or she will be granted automatic citizenship. People evading laws in US and Russia have chosen this route. Show up and be counted. No extradition . No facing of the justice.
Citizenship in Israel is a fluid concept. Martin Indyk, Oren , and Marc Rich ate examples . So is Dominique Sutter who left NY in a hurry from his apartment following 911 and went to Israel.

  27. Like the ‘five dancing Israelis’ caught in the act of filming the collapse of the Twin Towers, if 9/11 is ever properly investigated, you will see hundreds of “dual citizens” fleeing the US for the sake of seeking permanent refuge in Israel. And they will all be welcomed as heroes.

  28. While the Mearsheimer and Walt study was important, why doesn’t anyone credit or seem to remember Paul Findley’s They to Dare Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel’s Lobby (Westport, Conn.: Lawrence Hill, 1985), ISBN 0-88208-179-9. This was indeed the true seminal work on exposing AIPAC and Israeli influence in the U.S. Congress and government.

  29. @Archie

While Findley’s book was the first to expose the power of the Lobby, MW garner more attention because they exposed the success of the Lobby to get America to fight Israel’s wars.

    @carroll price
The ‘five dancing Israelis’ were actually on an Israeli TV program in which they stated “they were there (NYC) to document the event.”

AIPAC requires all American prospective politicians to swear allegiance to the State of Israel above all things, when there is a conflict of interest between that of the US and Israel, Israels interests should naturally take precedence.
And the USA call itself a democracy, what a joke, when every person they can vote for has been vetted in this way, how can the US possibly be described that way???? It’s a farce, you live in the Matrix, like a bunch of zombies, but lets hope that your Neo comes along.

  31. Given Israels seemingly expansionist policies (search “Eretz Israel” for a map of what extreme zionist are looking to control) US/Nato will be fighting in the middle east for a long time to come..

Interesting and well written expose Phillip. Just 10 years ago you would not have been able to write this and actually have it published. But it seems more and more there is a loss of control by the Israeli lobby and their speech police.

  33. NY Times reported of the meeting between the leaders of the various Jewish organizations and Rand Paul . The meeting was to clarify some of the concerns the Elders had . Rand Paul was articulating the need to cut back foreign donations and grants . He was not discounting that Israel would also suffer along with say Congo or Egypt. The Elders sought and received the assurances that Israel would be spared. This attitude was already forcefully advocated by Eric Cantor and Schumer – making it bipartisan.
But the importance lies in the Hasabara promoted by the Zionist that Israel did not need the money anymore and should be glad to be removed from the list . These claims are definitely made by a few but have been given wider coverage and been repeated many times . But the actual deals and threat under the radar not been publicized ,nor brought to the American citizen’s awareness leaving the poor American to conclude that America for its own advantages are forcing Israel to receive the money every year . Anytime anybody wants to bring this huge money transfer and dole out and wants to talk about, he or she is reminded that America has no leveraging power and the the finacial help is something Israel does not want or need.
Only a country under the influence and fear will agree to this Israeli version.

  34. We need the 3rd political party called the “Real America’s Party”, where the membership would reflect proportionately a true ethnicity of our population based on the census percentage of the minorities promoting their views. The minorities may require a few additional divisions, mainly from the Asia, since it is the most populated continent with many conflicting agendas, like Arabs, Jews, Indians, Chinese, Turks and Japanese. On other hand all European nationalities including Portuguese and Spanish are truly whites, representing the same interests and don’t need any divisions. This would guarantee the representation of the real USA, as it meant to be, the Melting Pot America, without the Jewish domination.
The same is necessary for the mass media. To guarantee the Free Speech, Freedom, Justice, Liberty, Equality and Democracy, the Jewish monopoly on public media must be broken, and proportionally licensed to all minority groups.

  35. Day by day, it is becoming evident that the behavior of exclusivist/expansionist/illegal occupier/oppressor/racist Israel is having an increasingly detrimental effect on the geopolitical interests of the U.S. Never have the wise words of George Washington regarding foreign entanglements been more relevant. In his Farewell Address, he admonished his fellow citizens to steer clear of a “passionate attachment” to another nation, as it could create “the illusion of a common interest…where no common interest exists.” Regarding Israel, America will inevitably act upon the wisdom of its founding father. It has no choice.

  37. in a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, and multi-religious region, aka america; in which an ethnicity may have proportionally 10X to 50X more political power than the least powerful ethnicity, we will see al kinds of injustices.
what we then need to do is to fight for equal political power for all americans. if don’t demand it, we won’t get it!
and as long as a person, say, buffet or gates, enjoys 1kX to 10kX more political power than a worker, we’d always have unfairness.

  40. The Zionists will eventually justify all those who swear by The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The Zionists (Jews? perhaps all or some) are their own worst enemies.

If Adolf were here still he would feel vindicated in his indictment of the Jews.

Jewish population in US reps. – (over) 16%

In 2013 Israel spent $1,250 to lobby America .

” Of the 84 countries surveyed, Israel ranked 83rd, spending just $1,250 to lobby America in 2013. (The only country that ranked lower was Mali, which spent nothing at all.) ”

US annual aid to Israel – 0ver $3,100,000,000. (10,794,820,000 shekels or simply put : over 10 billion shekels)

That’s an investment of $1,250 and return of $3,100,000,000
    That’s a 2,480,000% return.

Forbes stats at least 139 of richest 400 are Jewish . 34% (at least)
