Among Democrat primary voters Biden is first choice among the following percentages of people, by race:

Whites — 19%
Blacks — 33%
Hispanics — 20%
Others — 21%

Funny that he is attacked relentlessly for his putative racism. Nobody sniffs it out better than SWPLs do!

If Biden gets the nomination and goes onto win the presidency (in a field with multiple Black candidates) due to a significant and sustained support from the Black vote, then hats off to them for standing by a candidate due to policies and values (whether one agrees with them or not) rather than race affiliation.

I’ve said all along that – despite Mr. Sailer’s constant reference to “The Coalition of the Fringes” – in reality the ongoing political food fight always struck me as white people civil war, in which “good” whites enlist the charges of racism (and blacks as foederati along with some token Hispanics and Asians) in order to attack “bad” whites.

You’re right again, Twinkie, as you not infrequently are.

There is not a single “race” problem in this society which is not, at bottom, a white person problem. And there is something else I wish to add here. This is apropos of nothing in particular but it is not exactly OT, since it is relevant to just about any topic we discuss in these pages.

White people are ridiculous. There is something very wrong with most of us. I have always carried this thought with me in the back of mind but lately it has been borne in upon me with increasing emphasis. I’m just astonished by the weirdness that permeates white culture, which is now nothing more or less than a quixotic and hyper-emotive lark. Like lost sheep we wander to the ends of the earth to save glaciers and kiwi birds, and in trances of self-satisfaction contemplate a world without gender. This is the real whiteness; much to the chagrin of the IQist partisans here, this is all that remains of that vaunted European race once you strip away the Christianity (which was a divine gift) and the civilization it wrought. We are left with an uncommonly hallucinatory people doomed to wander forever in vast excogitations of errant nonsense. No one has ever equaled modern whites when it comes to vacuousness, delirium, and suggestibility. We are not, as the IQists would have it, the border collies of humanity; we are the golden retrievers, prone to epileptic fits and pathological gregariousness. This is what foreigners see, and this is why we are such easy targets.

  5. anon[423] • Disclaimer says:

This is why I oppose immigration so much. If white liberals didn’t exist, it would be more tolerable because there wouldn’t be this massively divisive element in control of our media pitting people against each other for personal gain – social, political, economic. More immigration means a rising tide that carries SJWs/liberal sociopaths to the top. I guess the only bit of solace you can take from this is that the white left, when interracial offspring are factored, have a TFR rapidly converging to a level below 1. Good. One-hundred years from now and they’ll mostly be gone and the white average IQ will only have fallen 3 – 4 points over all, which is totally manageable. Then maybe we can embrace science again and work to increase it, creating a true paradise on earth.

No, black people in general are a problem in and of themselves. I agree that these “class wars”, if that’s what they are, make use of them, along with immigrants, in the fight. Even with a unified high-80% white America of 1960, the black people were a real problem.

You are extrapolating that probably 20% of white people to all of us, when you make those statements in your 2nd paragraph. Don’t take all the sick, stupid videos and tweets as representative of white America, I.D.

There is something very wrong with most of us.

I think it’s just human nature. Widespread affluence and lack of material wants tend to produce lethargic, purpose-less people who are prone to extremes of abstraction and frivolous novelty and gaiety (whence all the late craziness about “nonbinary sexuality” and saving exotic birds, etc. originate).

It happened to others who also achieved luxury civilizations at various times (in Chinese literature, effete Mandarins who discuss the finer points of ethics, governance, and philosophy atop the blazing palace while the barbarians overrun the city below are a familiar trope). It’s just that this civilization of ours has reached the latest and the greatest material peak ever attained by humanity (East Asians are right behind all this inanity and craze as they have caught up to European and American prosperity – witness the recent homosexual marriage vote in Taiwan and cosmetics-wearing “metro-sexual” young men in South Korea).

It’s indeed very difficult to breed clear-eyed, tough, and level-headed people when the society wallows in abundance, so much so that obesity is an “epidemic.”

This is why I bring up my children in some semblance of deprivation and hard work. The loving father in me wants to make their lives easy and comfortable, but in my experience easy and comfortable are the death of the human spirit.

So my children learn to handle horses and dogs, kill wild animals, grow food, mountaineer, navigate without a compass let alone a GPS system, treat trauma, use guns and knives, and fight empty-handed. They hardly watch any television (a movie here and there) and have no electronic screens of their own, including mobile phones. If bored, they read for entertainment.

I inflict upon them suffering even though it pains me greatly to do so. I will not have them grow up like the proverbial Eloi, to be at the mercy of the depraved and the evil should all the comforts of the civilizational bubble crumble. Nor would I have them become venal and superficial people who do not recognize what is true, beautiful, and enduring in this world and the next.

This is pretty tough to do, even in a supportive environment – too much suffering can break young spirits and too little trivializes travails of life – but it is doubly difficult when the society at large is pervasively framed contrarywise. But my wife and I try and will keep trying until our last breath. It’s extremely difficult to swim against the tide, but the day one stops trying is the day one’s mind and body die.

  11. Twinkie says:
    @dfordoom

And of course “good whites” tend to be “rich whites” and “bad whites” tend to be “poor whites.”

    It’s called class war.

There is an economic component to “class” but the former is not the entirety of the latter. What correlates even better than income or wealth to “good” and “bad” whites these days seems to be education more than anything else. My wife and I have doctorates, and we are invariably repulsed by the company of others with similar educational attainment.

Intellectual elites were always a bit of a breed apart even in old America, but – perhaps because of religion and the general social ethos of humility (which has been utterly destroyed in this age of Facebook, YouTube self-promotions/”curated lives”) – there was a greater sense of connection to the ordinary people and that higher intellectual capacity was a gift to be used to benefit others as well, instead of tools of self-gratification and -justification.

In this regard, meritocracy has been an utter disaster. People who think that they achieved everything in their lives only on their own merits seem to value less family and community, let alone country. They lack noblesse oblige and instead engage in a parade of false virtue-signaling to display their ostensible moral superiority.

Parenthetically, this is a part of the reason why I am not all that exercised about having meritocracy in elite tertiary education and “more Asians at Harvard.” I don’t think that helps the country at large and the people, and might even be counter-productive.

As for all the silly crap white voters believe in or at least tolerate, it’s going to take having their backs against the wall politically speaking before their minds are concentrated on what is important. We’re not quite there yet, but 8 years of a president and likely Congress that are explicitly anti-white might get us to a place where we no longer have nearly 40% of white voters supporting a party that loathes them.

Of course, that also depends on a) the Dems donor base waivering in its support – which is a possibility if we get more anti-Israel congresscritters like Tlaib and Omar and b) the GOP not being stupid (its a long shot, I know).

They are standing by him because he was the black president’s number 2 and all his rivals are 1) fake blacks like Harris – married a white guy and jailed lots of blacks … which is why her black support has suddenly collapsed 2) gay like Booker 3) Mexican 4) white New Englanders 5) other white. His entire support is race affiliation. If it were based on policy, they’d be voting for Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders. Another reason Booker and Harris don’t get more support is that they are less likely to win in the general, which would be bad for their race. They aren’t voting policy here. Obama would beat Biden if he could run again. Blacks are judging candidates based on prior affiliation with their group and who is most likely to win. According to the polls, that’s Biden. Harris is one of the only candidates who is running within a point or two of Donald Trump; she’s beatable.

It doesn’t, though. Rather, mass immigration has empowered SJWs. Previously, when the normie white vote could determine an election outcome, extremist left-wingers were marginalized politically. You saw that in the culture as comedians in the 80s and 90s savaged those types. Shows like In Living Color regularly savaged gays and transexuals. You can’t do that now. Most of comedy these days is just racist left-wing hate spewing against normal whites. Now that democrats can win regardless of the normal white vote, the SJWs have become an important part of the progressive coalition. And they have become bolder in their rhetoric, too. Their boat rises to the top of the incoming diversity deluge. Further, someone posted a series of links in one of Sailer’s latest posts. Widespread affluence and lack of material wants tend to produce lethargic, purpose-less people who are prone to extremes of abstraction and frivolous novelty and gaiety (whence all the late craziness about “nonbinary sexuality” and saving exotic birds, etc. originate).

There’s a bit of a wrinkle with this explanation inasmuch as “widespread affluence and lack of material wants” does not exist. The majority of people are deeply in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and are very stressed out. Indeed, had this conversation taken a slightly different jog down the random walk of internet thread hysteresis (as so many other threads have), then we would now be talking about how hopeless and despondent white people have become, how immigrants are taking jobs and depressing wages, the unaffordability of neighborhoods with “good schools,” the low birthrate, the opioid epidemic, etc.

Well, you cannot have it both ways. Whites cannot be both affluent to the point of listlessness and barely clinging to existence at the same time. And the fact that this sort of doublethink is so prevalent among otherwise intelligent people here, and that it is for the most part not even noticed let alone remarked upon, tells me that the real dynamics of the situation have not been understood in the least.

This is why it really aggravates me whenever “lack of purpose” is brought into the conversation as some sort of explanation for societal ills, as it has been with the most recent spate of spree killings. When these sorts of events occurred back in the ’90s, conservatives where quick to blame video games, fatherless families, and the mental health system while liberals, as always, blamed the guns. Nowadays “lack of purpose” is the go-to terminology among dissident internet types. The Procrustean nature with which this solution is made to fit every problem indicates that it is just another hobbyhorse like the others. For every 10 million kids who play violent video games, there are 9,999,999 who do not go on a killing rampage, and the same could be said for all those who “lack purpose” in their lives (whatever the hell that means).

On the contrary, spree killers have a very clear and distinct purpose: they want to kill people. They make very elaborate plans to that end, carefully choosing weapons and armaments, locations, and times. They take care to block exits with chains. They employ tear gas and gas masks and body armor. They manufacture bombs and booby traps. They write manifestos and post them to the internet, and some even live-stream their massacres. They tell their friends, parents, therapists, and girlfriends—and all and sundry via social media—all about their homicidal fantasies long before the act. In short, they all cry out with one voice about their rather deliberate and decisive purpose, which they pursue with almost admirable single-mindedness. And yet without fail, not 24 hours after the casings hit the ground, a coterie of internet know-it-alls are muttering professorially about the lack of purpose in modern life.

Again, normally I am the one pointing out the flaws in the HBD perspective. Yet when anomalies occur, it is the same proud defenders of genetic determinism and IQist destiny who instantly opine that a few decades of modern purposelessness have so upset the genetic apple cart that the thoroughbred white race now produces such tares and thistles as these hopeless losers who can’t find purpose in their lives, and who rage against their tragic fate by indiscriminately slaughtering others who mostly have nothing to do with them.

Allow me to make a bold claim. I hold that it is impossible to assign any external thing as “the cause” of a mass shooting, and that the explanation for such events needs to be sought in the will and heart of the shooter. And furthermore, to bring us back to the original topic, I maintain that there is a constitutional idiosyncrasy in white people that makes us, amongst all peoples of the Earth, especially susceptible to false hopes and fantasies, just as Asians have a weakness for dishonesty and blacks for indolence.

Every race, it seems, has its characteristic sin which it must work hard to overcome. For whites, that overcoming must begin with the knowledge that what is customarily thought of by us as morality—i.e. habitual self-abasement and the elaborate excuse-making for others’ wrongdoings—is not only not morality but merely our own fallen human nature. It is certainly not Christianity, for it did not require the sacrifice of the blood of Christ to teach us to live in sin, especially a sin that lies so close to our own proclivities that we would have fain performed it in any case. Christianity is the overcoming of the weaknesses of self, whatever they may be. For white people, overcoming dissipative generousity, gregariousness, and delusion is the key to walking virtuously with the Lord.

Current polling quietly shows Trump quite capable of beating everyone but Biden–and support numbers always decline when a person goes from hypothetical candidate to actual candidate. The markets are not off base in putting Trump’s current odds at reelection around 45%. Whether or not the market has shown obvious signs of impending implosion before November of next year is a big wild card, but that said, I’d handicap the general election at about a coin flip right now.

The professorate is wildly unrepresentative of the partisan balance, and in the humanities/social science fields, there should be explicit ideological quotas and appointment boards.

That’s indeed the Socialist way one would do this, by making more rules that won’t work worth a damn (tell me, 216, who will be on those appointment boards?) State taxpayers have funded part of the public universities in the past, and at least (excepting California) State legislators are people that can be reached with a phone call or a visit – that is accountability.

Nope, just get the US Gov’t off their backs, and let the taxpayers keep that money to help send their kids to less-PC-intense places. Additionally, the US Gov-backing of student loans must be ended. That is what creates the large supply of students in these majors to begin with. No sane loan officer would loan a kid a full-ride’s worth of money for 4 years of Art History, if the loan is on his bank’s back.

This. White people, and particularly white people in the Anglo world, have no concept of community, or even that they are “together” somehow, that they are all “white”. Some will even rage against “white people” at the same time that they fight hard to put their children in an all-white school, and not see any contradiction.

Class and status trump any feeling of solidarity they could have with other lower-class or lower-educated whites that they do not even recognize as their peers, and that they usually hate more than they hate minorities, which can always be useful. Poorer whites are (potential) competition, minorities, not so much. This is why these rich white women, for instance, prefer to go to Africa to “help” a poor African or to South America, than to assist poor whites in any way.

This is also why European countries are in a way better shaped, because you can still see yourself there as ethnically German or Italian or Swedish (even leftists understand this), and even if the process of replacement is the same as in the US, in the US you no longer have any particular identity, and so you fall back on the general concept of “white people”, which doesn’t really unite anyone.

You can’t really blame white people for being totally unable to relate to something as vague and as broad and as culturally meaningless as white identity.

White people includes Norwegians, Portuguese, Poles, Armenians, Greeks and most Jews. It also includes Persians and Albanians, who are Muslim. White people includes truck drivers, merchant bankers, school teachers, dentists, journalists, farmers, hookers, homeless people, billionaires, pastrycooks and carpenters. Liberal campaigns don’t really come out of nowhere. They start slowly, gradually build up steam and reach fruition about 60 years after the idea was first floated.

It’s a bit of both. If you take the homosexual agenda as an example, it’s true that it’s taken them 60 years of slow relentless pressure to get where they are today. It’s been a slow process of normalising the idea and of promoting the notion that it’s good and natural and healthy.

But then a few years ago homosexual marriage, which wasn’t even on the radar, overnight becomes something that must happen right now.

So it’s a combination of decades of patiently laying the groundwork and then suddenly Whammo! a full-scale offensive is launched along the entire front. It gives the impression of having been planned like a military campaign. The final decisive battle that will achieve victory is a sudden surprise attack but it’s been prepared by years of patient work undermining the enemy’s defences.

The transgender thing followed precisely the same pattern.

Is it possible that they can conduct such meticulously planned and perfectly executed operations without any central planning? If so they must have a natural genius for cultural warfare.

Yet the Han Chinese, who span all these occupational and religious categories, do have something closer to a single unified identity–and there are a billion of them.

They had political unity for a very long time and they had Confucianism which promoted the idea of a hierarchical society in which everyone has a rôle to play and in which the rich and the powerful have responsibilities as well as privileges. When the Empire collapsed they had forty years of political chaos, warlordism, and civil war which shows how fragile such unity is.

Since 1949 they’ve had the Communist Party pretty much enforcing the idea of a single unified identity. Which has been a good thing.

In the West we’ve had capitalism and ideologies like liberalism and democracy that have actively worked against a single unified identity.

I guess you could say that we’ve had two interesting attempts to achieve that kind of unity – the United States and the EU. The U.S. attempt has ended in abject failure. Russia could I suppose be seen as a reasonably successful attempt but its survival will require the crushing of liberalism.

If you want a single unified identity you could always hope for something like the Chinese Communist Party. That’s probably the only way it could be achieved. If white nationalists want a hero to emulate maybe they should choose Mao.

  113. That’s what the “nazbol” movement is, isn’t it? I guess they want a Stalin rather than a Mao, but either way it makes the left’s criticism of them awkward.
