I just had a look at the website of the Pittsburgh “Tree of Life” synagogue that Robert Bowers shot up.

Here is what it has to say about Israel’s borders:

tolols-israeli-borders

And about America’s:

tolots-american-borders

In other words, the outlook of their rabbis is identical to that of Julia Ioffe, who condemns Trumpists as anti-Semitic nationalists for their anti-immigration stances after having spent her student years apologizing for the Israeli wall as VP of Princeton’s Israel Public Affairs Committee.

This is obviously not an exculpation of the terrorist.

However, it does illustrate where people like him are coming from. For instance, in one of his last Gab messages, he specifically cited the role of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) in “[bringing] invaders that kill our people.” Originally set up to help Jews emigrate to the US, it has since branched out into generalized #RefugeesWelcome, with headlines such as “1,500+ Rabbis Urge U.S. to Keep Doors Open for Refugees” appearing on their website.

To solve problems, one needs to understand where they’re coming from. Since there are always going to be loons, this is primarily an immigration and a guns problem.

The Democrats need to stop their sabotage and let Trump build that wall, so that people like Bowers feel that they are living in their own country and don’t blindly strike out at perceived foreign agents.

The guns problem is a tricker one. While Trump has suggested the synagogue should have had armed guards, providing them for every place of worship sounds overly expensive.

Fortunately, one Blue Checkmark noticed a very interesting pattern:

guns-kill

Seems to be all AR-15′s. Very, very interesting.

The US needs to ban all its guns now – and start importing Russian ones. Perhaps Maria Butina could get to on lobbying for that once she’s been released from her politically motivated imprisonment.

I understand why Jews are against Arab immigration to Israel. But for what reasons do they support the policy of open borders for America?

  2. The US needs to ban all its guns now – and start importing Russian ones.

I thought Russian guns are quite reliable and can be used even by not terribly skilled shooters…isn’t that why Kalashnikovs are so popular with child soldiers in horrible countries in Africa? So Russian weapons might make mass shootings in the US worse (which could of course be a good thing if one’s anti-American and likes to see intra-American carnage).
As for those statements about borders, just the usual hypocrisy one has come to expect. I wonder how it never occurs to so many Jews that their blatant double standards might eventually backfire on them. But since antisemitism is always completely irrational and has not even the slightest connection to reality, that’s obviously something one ought not to think about.

  3. @melanf

Standard explanation around here would be ethnocentric resentment against white gentiles and a belief that multicultural societies are good for Jews (because it will prevent Hitler, Himmler and Heydrich from coming back from the undead or whatever). And tbh it’s hard to understand what else could motivate people to hold such contradictory beliefs.

I believe the AR-15 is more accurate and better for long range targets, while the AK47 is more reliable and better for short range firing. So it depends on style of attack. AKs may be deadlier in short range rampage attacks in more confined areas and less likely to jam. While AR-15s may be better for picking off targets from a greater distance.

The Las Vegas attack last year was a long distance shooting from a hotel room on the 32nd floor to a crowd far away. The shooter used AR-15s. He probably would have been much less accurate with AKs.

I guess one needs some training for that though (where did the Las Vegas shooter learn that? Was a weird case anyway). If one isn’t that skilled and wants to shoot many people in a confined space (where one could be rushed if the gun jams), AKs seem to be the better choice.

Dominating goyim is the goal. Diaspora Jews lack the numbers to assert dominance by default, but by pitting one group of goyim against another, and remaining nominally above the fray, the Jews can manuever themselves into position of influence. This is easier to accomplish in a “diverse” society, where goyim are naturally divided and at each other’s throats. Divided people will also find it harder to cooperate with each other, and work collectively against the Jewish interests, like it happened in Germany during 1920s.

Once I asked a gentile (but with a Jewish gf, quite cute actually) Blairite student why it was ok for Israel to be a state for Jews but unthinkable for Britain to be for white British people. He looked at me with disgust, told me that it was because Jews were threatened with persecution and walked away (to tell all his philosemite friends about how antisemitic I was).

  13. @Felix Keverich

Divided people will also find it harder to cooperate with each other, and work collectively against the Jewish interests, like it happened in Germany during 1920s.

Germany in the 1920s was merely divided by political and class differences, there was no mass immigration or multiculturalism back then, so I don’t think it’s that relevant for present concerns.
I also think Jews are really foolish if they think such policies will end well for them, many immigrants aren’t exactly pro-Jewish (as has been shown in pretty drastic ways in several cases in France, like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Ilan_Halimi ).
If there’s ever a backlash by white gentiles in western Europe or the US against their dispossession and displacement, there also aren’t really many reasons why they should look favorably on Jewish interests, given the strongly pro-immigration and pro-multiculturalism stance of Jewish organizations.
Shouldn’t be that hard to get.

Kind of stupid post, as in Israel there are more African illegal immigrants than I saw almost anywhere. And of course liberal American Jews support keeping the African immigrants in Israel. New Israel Fund successfully blocked the move to deport them last year, through Israel’s Supreme Court.

Support for military border is a different topic to immigration border. Liberal Jews in America will support the military border for Israel but not the policy for deporting illegal immigration from Israel.

In Israel, liberal American funded NGO will give free Hebrew classes to immigrants, and then they petition Supreme Court that they are speaking Hebrew so should not be deported.

  16. KenH says:

In 1994, Jew Baruch Goldstein murdered 29 Muslims in cold blood at their mosque in Hebron and wounded another 125. At Goldstein’s funeral a rabbi said that the lives of these Muslims weren’t worth one Jewish fingernail. Goldstein is considered a hero by many Jews in Israel and there was no campaign in Israel warning against anti-Palestinianism or Islamophobia since the lives of non-Jews aren’t considered worthy.

I’m not necessarily taking sides in the conflict between Jews and Palestinians and those two groups are free to do whatever they please to one another, but the Jews are not innocent and since they are working so tirelessly to mongrelize whites out of existence throughout the West this attack is a case of them reaping what they’ve so richly sown for themselves.

The alleged synagogue shooter seems to have been acutely aware of Jewish efforts at “diversifying” America.

If you look at Julia Ioffe, for example. I’m sure there is a double standard.

But the position of liberal American Jews in general, on Israel, is not a double standard, as they succeeded in blocking deportation of illegal immigrants from Israel.

New Israel Fund (funded by liberal American Jews) has successfully prevented Israel from deporting any illegal immigrants from Africa. The NGO operation in Israel, is more extreme than other countries.

And they have a worse illegal immigration situation than most countries, which you see when you are in Israel (areas which are like Africa).

They support Israel’s military borders, but not for Israel to reduce illegal immigration.

If you look at them, it is quite a coherent central-left worldview. They hate the idea of anti-immigration. At the same time, they are supportive of military action (from the side they see as “good”).

For them Israel is “good”, so they support its military behaviour. In military terms, these liberals are quite “right wing”. However, they oppose its immigration policy. Israel is uniquely vulnerable to the immigration lobbying, because it has a Supreme Court as final decider, who review any funded petition on the immigration policy.

That’s not really the point – the issue is that Israel is meant to be a nation state for a specific ethnoreligious community, that’s the entire reason for its existence. And I haven’t seen anything to indicate that the majority of Jews in Western countries (who always go on about Israel’s “right to exist” – which only makes sense if one adds “as a nation”, why else prevent the “right of return” for Palestinians? Or who make historical arguments about Jews’ special claim to Jerusalem and the biblical land…no different from the blood and soil claims of 19th century European nationalists) rejects that conception and really wants it to be changed into a merely civic conception of nationhood.

Illegal immigrant living in Israel rapes Israeli woman, then demands legal status in Israel as father of child conceived in rape.

I took some interesting photos of the African areas in Tel Aviv in February. It’s obviously not a sustainable situation (areas which are like Africa inside the city), and wearing national costumes, with women in full hijabs.

If they are real refugees, a country should give them a safe area for some years. But if they have been there for years and are simply relocating there for economic reasons. (It’s going to be very problematic, for the future of Israel, or at least Tel Aviv).

Exactly the point! Germany and other Europe weren’t diverse enough, which (in Jewish mind) allowed fascism to rise. Goyim are dumb fucking animals, inherently prone to fascism, which is why, diversity must be forcibly imposed on them. They believe Israel is a Jewish country. They also support its military action (they are not pacifists, but rather central-left people who support military actions from a side they think is “good”).

At the same time, they successfully stopped Israel from deport illegal immigrants from Africa, through very intelligent use of the Israel’s legal system to achieve this (with extremely large funding).

Is this a consistent viewpoint? It’s a stupid viewpoint, in my opinion. But the idea they are not trying to make their views consistent, is obviously false, and just not understanding their liberal mental processes.

Reason for their success in Israel is also interesting, and relates to a unique vulnerability of its political/legal system. In Israel, a Supreme Court is final judge, which can prevent any legislation from parliament. Israel has a right-wing government, but government can only legislate from parliament. All these laws on deporting immigrants can be blocked through a court, using a basic law (which is saying something vague like all humans have dignity, etc).

In America and Russia, there is also a Supreme Court, but the judges are hired by choice of politicians. In Israel, the judges are hired by the Supreme Court itself (so they can maintain only liberal judges).

Those judges will be presented with petitions from professional lawyers (hired by NGOs, which are funded by American liberal groups or the EU). And this is how Israel – despite right-wing government – has not deported any African immigrants (from countries without diplomatic relations).

I’m trying to explain Jewish logic to you.

That’s not necessary, it’s not hard to understand since some Jews at least are quite explicit about it; e.g. in Germany there was an interview earlier this year with Harvard-based political scientist Yascha Mounk (big critic of Trump and populists in generals) who spoke about Germany’s transformation into a multicultural and multiethnic society. He made pretty clear that he was in favour of this process because he had felt so alienated as a Jewish child in West Germany in the 1980s. He even said “A society where Muslims feel at home, is a society that’s good for Jews”.
I guess I couldn’t complain too much if people like him just wanted to abolish Germany…but the striking thing is you find people of that sort throughout the West (e.g. Barbara Roach in Britain). A few weeks ago reiner tor posted a story about Iceland’s first rabbi…what’s one of the first things he does? He starts lecturing Icelanders about how they need to be more generous towards “refugees”. Coupled with the fact that Jewish organizations are constantly lobbying for Israel with arguments that are extremely nationalist (always about the historical rights of Jews to the land), there’s an obvious double standard. But of course that’s pretty much the ultimate taboo subject, even among most right-wingers who are often extremely pro-Israel (because Israel fights Islamists or whatever).

The idea that Israel might fill up with Indians, Africans, and Central Asians, seems analogous to the immigrant transformation of Europe and America. Israel is pretty diverse already, because Jews came from so many countries, but this is non-Jewish diversity. Are there Israelis who worry about the growth of a miscellaneous non-Jewish population, and not just about Arabs? Do people see Dubai or Qatar as a model of how to have a lot of foreigners living long-term in the country, without losing control?

It’s different groups. These will be National Religious settlers. They also won’t allow women and men to dance in the same place, they have special religious beaches, and special clothing style. It’s a religious cult.

This group (National Religious) is less than 10% of a total population in Israel, but a majority in some areas and with higher birthrates.

there was no campaign in Israel warning against anti-Palestinianism or Islamophobia since the lives of non-Jews aren’t considered worthy.

In Israel, they have a very strong liberal movement, which will very passionately against anti-Palestinianism or Islamophobia.

Liberal SJW movement in Israel is numerically very small, but with quite a lot of power – as it relates to a liberal elite with have influence in media and legal system, and funding from liberal American Jews.

Israel currently is internally a very legally liberal country in areas like immigration or attitude to Arabs. At the same time, majority of the population are rednecks.

Shift of Israel to being conservative or right-wing behaving country (which would behave like Hungary, etc), would happen if Supreme Court is removed of its current power, so then right-wing governments would be able to legislate. So far this does not happen.

Probably correct balance in Israel would happen if Supreme Court would simply be appointed by elected politicians (as in America or Russia), instead of current situation where they select each other. Population itself will become less “redneck”, and more “intelligent, educated conservatives”, if it continues economic development (it’s only a recently developed country).

Are there Israelis who worry about the growth of a miscellaneous non-Jewish population,

Yes that’s one of the main topics in Israeli internal debates.

Majority of Israelis are a kind of political rednecks (and their economic status is nothing impressive), who want Israel to be a Jewish majority, and to deport illegal (economic) immigrants, and even can be racist to Russian-speakers.

At the same time, there is a liberal elite and a political system where liberal Supreme Court has final control and prevents policy like deportation of illegal immigrants. Universities are also highly SJW (as they follow American syllabus).

So redneck part of public in Israel, is very angry and hating their media and legal regime, as well as hating liberal American Jews who fund groups like New Israel Fund.

What would happen if Supreme Court powers are limited, is the country would shift to more conservative direction.

This has not happened so far though – at the moment, Sudanese can live and work in Israel indefinitely, and use free health care, as well as children go to free schools, etc.

I’m also interested in what effect will be economic development in Israel (it’s only recently developed economically), in the attitudes of this public.

HIAS takes that positon at minimal risk to themselves, as most of their funding is actually from the US Government to resettle refugees in the US. But Jews do not see it that way. If X is good for Jews in Israel and if not-X is good for Jews in diaspora there is no contradiction regardless of the impact on the non-Jews. I suspect that the majority of Jews do not even notice there is a problem. They are not bound by the limiting logic the way goys are. This is the reason why they are not really a legitimate part of the Western civilization.

This Yascha Mounk wants to “domesticate nationalism” meaning that he wants the parties on the left to somewhat adopt parts of it and I presume capture it and dilute it:

    https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/.premium-does-the-scientist-who-foresaw-trump-still-believe-in-democracy-1.5454350
“The idea used to be that we can get away from nationalism and substitute it with other things like social justice, and somehow people will learn to live without it. But when nationalism and democracy clash, nationalism wins. Therefore, we have to try and domesticate nationalism by filling it with our own meaning that makes it compatible with an open and liberal society and harnesses globalization.”

To do that, argues Mounk, liberals who like to think of their values as universal and therefore applicable in the same way to every country, must learn to appreciate national differences.

    But when asked about Israel:

“…as a political scientist, he prefers not to analyze the Israeli situation with the same tools he employs to analyze other countries.”

“In any discussion in which it is mentioned, Israel takes over. Once you mention Israel, you can’t just do so in passing,” he says. “It can’t just be another example. There is such a complexity and so many emotions when dealing with Israel…

I’m no expert about Hungary (although I would project them as a sensible conservative country), but Israel is de facto highly liberal regime currently, and significantly more than Russia (which is itself relatively liberal). This is despite country’s own voting demographics, and elected governments, being more right wing than its de factor power structure.

Question whether a military conflict between Israeli Jews and Palestinian (and nearby) Arabs, with daily attacks and soldiers in streets everywhere, is something liberal or conservative? It’s actually related to neither political side. Wars between two peoples, lasting over a century – is not something you can categorize on either political spectrum. Is the war in Sri Lanka, right-wing or left-wing?

ever expanding colonization programme in the occupied territories,

Israel controlled territory is falling continuously since a high point (1967). Largest shrinking of Israel controlled territory was in 1982 (Sinai to Egypt) and in 2005 (Gaza to Palestinian Authority).

What is the right-wing viewpoint inside Israel, in relation to West Bank? One right wing party Yisrael Beiteinu (“Nash dom Izrail’) is one which wants to give to Palestinians the largest land quantity of any party (they want to include Arab parts of Israel).

Other right-wing (religious) party with very similar name, Bayit Hayehudi (“Home the Jews” – this is like a party called “Russia for Russians”, and quite nationalist), wants to annex large part of West Bank, and wants PA territory to be ruled by Jordan.

You could say, right-wing of Israel is generally more supporting less concession of West Bank – although a large party, Yisrael Beiteinu wants to have the largest territory concession.

It was actually Ariel Sharon, the most right-wing Israeli politician, who in the final stage was giving the most territory concessions. So country historically could have shifted in either direction (right-wing or left-wing), without a specific policy on territory concession being predicted from the political shift.

I bet a large percentage of Israeli Jews would be terrified of a US with open borders because they would fear emigration of a large number of Jews to the US. Lost of Israelis would move to the US if the could but cant because they are not eligible(lack of money, not enough academic degrees, ect.)

  45. Yes, market dominant minorities like the Jews can be very hypocritical, but lets keep the following in mind:

-if the media in Israel is anything to go by, most Israelis don’t support mass third world immigration into the West, nor do most European Jews, its largely an American Jewish thing

-Jews are only one market dominant minority in the US, yet the anti-Semitic elements of the alt right focus on them to the near total exclusion of other market dominant minorities (note the reaction of US Chinese to Trump’s trade tariffs – economic nationalism for me, but nor for thee) or the crass bandwagon jumping of Asian female SJWs

-there are plenty of left-liberal Jews that aren’t very supportive of Israeli nationalism (some Jews aren’t hypocrites, just idiots)

-nationalists who are heavily critical of Jews tend to be very vague about what they actually want done about them, do they actually want them deported, subject to affirmative action for gentiles, or just more open to criticism? this vagueness encourages people to assume they have extreme intentions they don’t wish to disclose

Given that Jews are a powerful group with a fairly recent history of being persecuted, it’s a good idea to use precise language, empirically-based argument, and direct criticism at particular Jewish groups that are particularly hypocritical (such as ADL and the neocons). If US Jews are as powerful as their staunchest critics claim, they why push them into a corner where they have no choice but to fight back?

It’s exactly akin to the way how, in Middle Ages Europe, Jewish usurers were prohibited by their religious Levitical law (Deuteronomy) from practicing usury on fellow Jews, but had no inhibitions against practicing it fully and ruthlessly on the European gentiles whom they were living among. (Just read Shakespeare’s The Merchant Of Venice for an excellent example of this.) One set of rules for Jews; another for non-Jews. And people wonder why so-called “anti-Semitism” arose, and why Jews were disliked and persecuted in Europe for more than a millennium, until the end of World War II.

Therefore it is easier for them to be persecuted, denied jobs, expelled and forced to seek refuge elsewhere as happened in central Europe in the 30s, Spain in 1492, England in 1290 etc. It is not unusual for descendants of refugees to be sympathetic to others who are fleeing terrible conditions for a better life. Trump’s rhetoric is anathema to them as it directly conflicts with their conception of the US as a safe harbour for refugees.

Attacks like this will probably become more frequent as the Hispanic demographic transformation of the US becomes more apparent to the marginal cases and social media use ramps up mental illness.

Israel has always refused to consider a right of return for the descendants of expelled Palestinians as part of a peace settlement, because that would destroy Israel’s character as a Jewish state (I think that’s the sensible position btw). I know, my argument was that Israel wouldn’t accept large numbers of Arab Muslims (who actually have some historical connection to the area, as descendants of pre-1948 inhabitants) even as part of a peace settlement. Because it would destroy Israel as a Jewish state and probably eventually turn Jews into a minority there. That’s not fundamentally different from what the people opposed to mass immigration in the US and in Europe worry about. Yet somehow the Israeli position is supposed to be legitimate, that of immigration opponents in Western countries merely bigoted, atavistic and totally irrational.

As mentioned above, Jennifer Rubin and her like do not tend to oppose nationalism as such, but merely its “blood and soil” expression.

Israel may not be a 100% ethnostate (and yes, I know, they’ve got a dozen different kinds of Jews there, even some black ones), but Israeli nationalism definitely has strong “blood and soil” elements. Its fundamental premise after all is that a specific ethno-religious community (which to a significant extent is defined by descent) has the right to a certain territory, based on (pretty ancient) history. It’s definitely not just some lame constitutional patriotism or whatever where it would be seen as ok if Jews became a minority in Israel, as long as the constitutional framework remains (until it’s replaced by Sharia or whatever). So Rubin’s position is extremely hypocritical.
And all true nationalism has at least some “blood and soil” elements imo. If you’re basing your national self-conception merely on some nebulous “values” (which aren’t enforced anyway against immigrant communities with a strong sense of ethnic or religious particularism), you’re already on the way to national suicide. As your country Sweden with its terminal niceness so amply demonstrates.

  64. @Tyrion 2

If America became majority Mexican there is no reason to think that the Mexicans would slaughter all of the white people.

White Americans would lose their nation though, have to adapt to foreign cultural mores and quite possibly face discrimination.
I think you’re overstating the differences. It’s possible to think of a scenario in which present-day Israel becomes majority Muslim, but Jews are tolerated as a dhimmi community with self-autonomy and defined rights (this is probably what commenter “Talha” here would prefer), just as they were throughout most of Islamic history. Obviously that would be highly undesirable compared to the status Israelis now enjoy. But it wouldn’t be necessarily different from what might happen in many Western countries once white gentiles become a minority.

Germany in the 1920s was merely divided by political and class differences, there was no mass immigration or multiculturalism back then, so I don’t think it’s that relevant for present concerns.

It was my impression, based on readings in several sources/books that, unfortunately, I am not at this moment able to cite, that Germany did experience “mass migration . . . in the 1920s,” of Eastern European Jews fleeing turmoil in Poland and Russia.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported (acerbically) on Hans Luther’s attempt to explain this:

    https://www.jta.org/1933/05/26/archive/nazi-jewish-policies-political-not-religious-dr-luther-asserts

“He [Luther] asserted that limitation of Jewish influence in Germany was being conducted with the greatest possible consideration toward the old native Jewish families who, he said; had proven themselves good Germans and indicated that it was directed against the Eastern European Jews who had overflooded the country since the War.”

According to JTA, That “overflooding” was in addition to several other areas of conflict between and among Eastern European and German Jews, and Jewish-Germans and non-Jewish – Germans.

Regarding that collection of grievances against Jews, staunch zionist author Jeffrey Herf told a Washington, DC audience that “Germans were justified in expelling Jews” based on a litany of offenses.

The displacement of a people is no small exploit, especially a people that has played such a critical role in human history in the creation of Western civilization. With Europeans’ dwindling birthrates, the necessity to preserve the national identity of the European peoples becomes ever more important. Jews, whose homeland is the world’s shining example of the ethno-nation state, should be at the forefront of this fight. Jews, who understand better than most people the importance of continuation and preservation, should be at the forefront of the fight for Europe. Conversions in Israel, are almost all for Russian-speaking and Ethiopian Israelis, who want to “normalize their status”.

Israel allows citizenship to anyone “Jewish to the third generation”, or their spouses, or their children under 18, in addition to allowing any of those people to repatriate their parents (if they are over retirement age).

As Jewish status is pass matrilineally, many Israelis can be 1/8 or 1/16 Jewish, and at the same time without any Jewish official status. If your grandfather has a Jewish mother, or even Jewish grandmother, then you are eligible.

Whereas in Orthodox Jewish law – a Jew is only people with Jewish maternal grandmother or a convert. (So oligarchs Khodorkovsky, Vekselberg and Berezovsky are non-Jews, while Prokhorov is a Jew).

By 1980s Moscow, over 80% of Jews (both men and women) married non-Jews. So there is incompatibility between the two definitions.

At the same time, the largest immigration to Israel since the 1980s, has been from the Soviet Union.

Actual conversion rates in Israel are very low however, as non-Jewish Israeli has all same rights as Jewish Israeli, except that would not find a rabbi to marry or bury in Jewish cemetery.

Conversion is also only a very strict Orthodox one, which requires years of study, and living as an Orthodox Jew.

In addition, Russians/Ukrainians are one of the most secularized populations in Europe, so the Orthodox Jewish religion (as any strong religion) is not very compatible with what is considered a normal lifestyle for this population in Israel.

Problem with African immigration in a country, is one of numbers.

If a few hundred Africans immigrate, I do not see a problem. You might even have some Pushkins in a couple of generations later.

But when there is a large and continuous flow? Then this is serious problem.

In Tel Aviv, I was in February, walking around the poor neighbourhoods (I try to post my photos here if people are interested). I see large groups of many different kinds of Africans, some pissing in the street, big groups of Sudanese teenage girls (?) in all white hijabs, hundreds of African children playing football in the streets.

It’s because they had an unsecured landborder with Africa. American and EU funded NGOs prevent Israel from deporting any of these immigrants, via the Supreme Court, so they are all living freely there.

I almost think a country should give a free space for refugees, with a strict time-limit (so country can allow them for a couple of years before deportation). However, flood of Africans in Tel Aviv is obviously more economic immigration, and it makes whole neighbourhoods into real African cities. There is a huge amount of rapes and crime from these immigrants, as they came over the border without any filtration.

A rather selective presentation of the facts, since the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank has grown massively since the time of the Oslo accords which were supposed to lead to a Palestinian state.

They’re almost all settlements designed in strategic areas, to secure Israel from a military offensive. For example,to surround Jerusalem, and where the border is most narrow.

Israel’s plan for two-state solution, involves landswaps, so all the main settlements will be in Israel.

If you look at Olmert’s 2008 peace offer.

Lieberman Plan, would be different, because he will include some Arab cities inside Israel.

However, if I design the two state solution from Israel’s perspective (i.e. in Israel’s interest), I would follow plan where Jordan Valley settlements would be included. This way West Bank would not become ten times worse than Gaza, because weapons could not be directly transited into West Bank, except via Israel territory.

Military problem of West Bank (from Israel’s perspective), is any military group could fire an mortar from West Bank areas, and hit Israel’s main power stations, or shut down center of the economy.

Those trying to cross from Gaza are in a state of war with Israel. Those trying to cross the Rio Grande

Issue is about immigration into the two countries.

Liberal Zionist Jews of America, will support Israel’s government in its military doctrines, and in quite a nationalist way. However, in relation to immigration, they have successfully prevented Israel from deporting illegal immigrants. At the same time, latter problem (illegal immigration) seems worse in Israel, than most countries.

American Jewish funded NGOs like New Israel Fund, can exploit legal power structure in Israel, to prevent deportation of Sudanese, Eritreans, etc.

German Reader’s view, is that they are inconsistent because they still support nationalist concept of “Jewish state”, while at the same time, not support concepts like “German State for Germans”, or “American state for Americans”.

He’s correct there is a contradiction in their position. It’s symbolic contradiction though, because in reality the actions of groups like New Israel Fund are more effectively filling Tel Aviv with African immigrants, than you can see in most cities in West Europe.

So Israel itself suffers from their activism on immigration topics (and local people are more angry).

As for symbolic contradiction of “liberal Zionist American Jews” – I think a large part of them, start to see there is a contradiction (Zionism is 19th century nationalist concept and they become more critical of Israel when they realise this).

But Liberal American Jews try to resolve contradiction, a larger proportion will choose to become simply liberals (instead of “liberal Zionists”), than would remove the liberal part. Their liberal acculturation stronger than Zionist acculturation (even though latter is programmed to them in their religious institutions).

This is a case already with voting patterns for Trump, who was always known as the most Zionist American president, who donated for Israeli settlement building since the 1980s.

Choosing between these two, Julia Ioffe seems selecting more for liberalism.

On intellectual level, 19th century liberalism was compatible with 19th century nationalism, which was built on concepts of self-determination of peoples, and supported men like Garibaldi. The strange thing is what happened to liberalism, where it became so anti-nationalism during the late 20th century.

Liberal Zionists were not internally incoherent in 1948. But in 2018 – they are internally incoherent (as liberalism itself became opposed to 19th century concept of nationalism).

It’s worked for quite a while.

It worked in the US when it was buttressed by the social and political dominance of old stock WASP Americans, and when immigrants were expected to assimilate to the cultural norms and values of Anglo-Protestant America (though it’s far from clear to me that this was fully successful among all Ellis Island era-immigrants; if one reads something like the piece by Peter Beinart I linked to above, it seems doubtful). The US was also to a significant extent a racial democracy before the mid-20th century, which made integration of European immigrants into a common white identity somewhat easier. It’s far from clear to me that the American model will continue to work, given the radically altered circumstances (permanently very high levels of immigration, with most immigrants being non-white and often from quite alien, non-Western cultures, also a pervasive ideology of multiculturalism, including denigration of much of American history); in fact the sense one often gets here (admittedly probably not an unbiased perspective, lol) is that the US is already coming undone as a nation.
In the end a constitution is just a piece of paper, if no one believes in it, and all of politics becomes just a contest for power between different identity groups based on ethnicity and religion (which may be inevitable in strongly multiethnic societies).

They’re almost all settlements designed in strategic areas, to secure Israel from a military offensive.

I find it a bit difficult to believe that security considerations are the only rationale, if I understand correctly, we’re speaking about several hundreds of thousands of settlers.
I will admit however that you make a good case that the situation is more nuanced and that open borderism is a problem even for Israel; would be interesting if you posted some pics from your recent trip (if it’s possible).

It’s true that small immigration communities facilitate large ones in current immigration situation. But this is usually a result of badly designed systems, where design problems are then exploited.

It’s really like most engineering catastrophes. How large was the initial gap in heat sealing of Space Shuttle Colombia? Within a second or two, a whole wing was lost.

This is just a metaphor. African immigrants are still ordinary people. If they are really refugees, they deserve a safe zone.

It’s also not that complicated (you don’t have to be NASA engineers), to design a system which allows them to be in a safe zone, with a limited time period.

It just depends also on having high state capacity and functional legal system (latter is not currently the case in countries like Israel, although it could change). A developed country should be able to issue a temporary pass and track them. After this time-period is finished, they would be deported.

In that case, there is both humane behaviour and support of national interests (which is not supported by larger numbers of unfiltered Africans conquering parts of cities).

I think that’s a bit naive tbh, unless forced, these people usually don’t want to go back to their countries of origin; and given prevailing liberal sentiment, there’ll be eventually calls to grant them citizenship. And almost none are refugees in the sense that they’ll be killed or face harsh persecution, if they don’t go to Israel, Europe or some other developed country. What exactly are Eritreans fleeing? Mostly just military and labour service, they’re essentially draft dodgers. Now I get it’s not nice if you’re a young man and have to serve in the army because of the stupid ideas of your country’s dictator…but should this mean other countries are obliged to provide a nice life for those young men, and suffer all the financial costs and crime their presence brings?

Another problem with the importation of blacks, in my view, is that you have to account for the psychology of certain people. Perhaps, through social circumstances, they will know only the smart ones, and draw the long conclusions, while having a vanity to think they are not racist. Others will have an unconquerable mania to subvert the system and turn everyone into a Mulatto because they are psychologically incapable of accepting any kind of difference between people.

Anyways, I think the scope of the term refugee needs to be restricted. Even if we try to pare it to a more honest definition than has been used of late – restricting it to people fleeing starvation or violence – that limited definition is still fully capable of destroying civilization in the right circumstances (ie. African population explosion), and it seems to me at the official level, nobody has even made an acknowledgement of that.

A more workable definition would be regional and not global, IMO. Facilitating people being fed and housed locally. Maybe, even a Wilsonian view of splitting up naturally sectarian countries, if that is necessary, rather than Balkanizing existing countries.

On 8 March 1989, Winfried Freudenberg became the last person to die in an attempt to escape from East Germany to West Berlin across the Berlin Wall by falling from a hot-air balloon.

I mean, c’mon, American Jews have been at the forefront of social criticism and protest since the 1950′s. That’s 6o some odd years in which they have ruffled a lot of feathers, stepped on a lot of toes and made plenty of enemies. When a people battle in the public arena, they should not be shocked if their nose gets bloodied. Every other group in America has been slaughtered by someone or other in the name of something or other, why should the Jews be exempt? Welcome to the club.

Meanwhile, the understandably full throated cries of anguish coming from the Jewish press are, unfortunately, accompanied by promises and threats of crack downs on liberties. Suppression of the historic rights of Americans is not the answer. Turning America into Palestine will only spur more American whites to acts of guerrilla resistance.

People mention the kiss on Star Trek, wrongly believed to be the first interracial one on TV. There was once a time when mixed-race couples would include a nonwhite only from civilized countries, like Japan or China. Or be real life couples like Lucy and Desi.

If you ever saw the show The Simpsons. One of the early episodes (circa 1989) has the character Smithers as being colored black. He was supposedly originally meant to be a black gay man, but it was felt that they could not get away with that at the time, so he was made a gay white.

By a certain time – I think it was less than 5 years ago – though I don’t really watch traditional TV anymore – the artificiality surpassed I think even what anyone who was Far Left would have thought only 15 years ago or so. Equating a metaphor I used in speaking about the Jewish people as a whole with the particular fate suffered by specific members of that group.

Typical Jewish sophism; committing the fallacy of division to win an argument rather than pursuing Truth. I hope, for the sake of anyone downstream from you, that you’re not employed in any field that depends upon honesty and integrity; one in which people’s lives depend upon your performing your duties diligently.

What I said was that every other group in America has been the victim of murderous attacks. It is not surprising that the Jews too would ultimately be targeted, especially in light of the fact that Jews have made many enemies i.e. Americans who have been insulted by Jew’s aggressive criticism of American customs and culture coupled with Jew’s relentless drive to destroy America as they find it and rebuild it in conformance with their own cultural blueprint.

And these days due to correlation search, it basically means that your name is already on a database and will be of “interest.” A simple cross-section of your searches, communications and other activities will allow a weighted average to predict your likely future action(possibly more than yourself).

You don’t truly appreciate technology; it has made a degree of control against any effort of violence to be insane. The only way to even begin is to have strong state support, or enough resources as to be similar to it(some criminal organizations do that).

  165. This is a brilliant take. The AR-15 is a PROLE gun. You have to have abysmal taste to even think of owning one. The AK platform meanwhile, particularly the 5.45×39 AK-74, is a top shelf rifle for the discerning citizen. The sanctions must be lifted and Russian exports brought back to the US market to prevent future tragedies such as this. Aid to Israel could be redirected to supply every Synagogue with a supply of semi auto AK-74Ms.
